PURPOSE: An infrared sensor system replacing a function of a first floor button arranged in the entrance of the front door is provided to reduce the time for waiting an elevator by functioning as the first floor button as the elevator is automatically ready.;CONSTITUTION: An infrared sensor system replaces a function of a first floor button of an elevator by sensing the existence of the presence and a position of an object within a measurement area. The infrared sensor system includes a sensing unit(2) and an image processing unit(3). The sensing unit irradiates infrared rays to the measurement area and senses the reflected infrared rays, thereby converting the same into an image data. The image processing unit compares the image data input by the sensing unit and reference image data set in advance, thereby determining the existence of the presence and the position of the object.
