STRUCTURE OF A MECHANICAL SEAL UNIT OF A CRUDE OIL TRANSFERRING PUMP SUITABLE FOR REPLACING THE MECHANICAL SEAL UNIT RAPIDLY AND EASILY

PURPOSE: A structure of a mechanical seal unit of a crude oil transferring pump is provided to facilitate the selective replacement of necessary components and the separation of the mechanical seal unit without opening a casing in case of a fluid leak in the mechanical seal unit.;CONSTITUTION: A structure of a mechanical seal unit of a crude oil transferring pump includes a seal sleeve (50), a stopper, a set screw (48), a fixing unit (52), a lip seal, and a set plate. The seal sleeve surrounds the outer periphery of a pump shaft (10). The stopper prevents the movement of a seal sleeve. The set screw fixes the stopper to the pump shaft. The fixing unit includes a seal flange to be integrated. The seal flange fixes the mechanical seal unit to the casing by using a fixing bolt (53). The lip seal prevents an oil leakage from a gap between the seal sleeve and the seal flange. The set plate prevents the separation of the seal flange.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
