PURPOSE: A distance measuring method and a laser distance measuring device using the same are provided to accurately measure a distance to a target by improving a distance measurement resolution.;CONSTITUTION: A distance measuring unit (400) includes a target signal detecting unit (410), a peak signal detecting unit (420), and a distance detecting unit (430). The target signal detecting unit detects data exceeding a threshold value from accumulated data as a target signal. The peak signal detecting unit detects a signal having the biggest value from target signals as a peak signal.
