PURPOSE: A depth sensor and a method for reducing noise thereof are provided to reduce noise, by setting a filter gain using first depth to a target object and intensity of a reflected optical signal.;CONSTITUTION: A calculation unit calculates first depth to a target object and intensity of a reflected optical signal by using filtered pixel signals (S20). When the first depth is larger than a first depth threshold value, a filter gain adjustment unit sets up the filter gain high (S30,S40). When the first depth is smaller than the first depth threshold value and the intensity is larger than an intensity threshold value, the filter gain adjustment unit sets up the filter gain according to the first depth (S50,S60). When the target object moves, the filter gain adjustment unit resets pixel signals (S70,S80).
