OPTICAL MODULE FOR AN ATOMIC OSCILLATOR CAPABLE OF REDUCING THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN VELOCITY COMPONENTS IN THE DIRECTION OF RESONANT LIGHT BY GENERATING THE FLOW OF ALKALI-METAL ATOM GAS AND THE ATOMIC OSCILLATOR
PURPOSE: An optical module for an atomic oscillator and the atomic oscillator are provided to improve frequency accuracy by preventing the expansion of the line width of an electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) signal.;CONSTITUTION: An optical module (1) for an atomic oscillator includes a light source (2), a gas cell (4), a light detector (6), and a gas flow generator (8). The light source emits resonant light with two different wavelengths. The gas cell seals alkali-metal atom gas and irradiates the resonant light. The light detector detects the intensity of the resonant light passing through the gas cell.
