APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANAGING DIGITAL LEARNING CONTENTS BASED ON XML

PURPOSE: A digital education contents management apparatus and a method based on the extended markup language (XML) are provided to perform the structure analysis and conversion according to the standardization regulation which is able to be applied to when converting the published learning material into a XML format, thereby minimizing the manual labor. CONSTITUTION: A conversion regulation definition unit (111) regulates an education course of the education contents and the converting regulation of a detailed structure which is able to be included in details according to the attribute. The conversion regulation definition unit regulates the converting regulation of the text attribute and the converting regulation of the image attribute. A structure table writing unit (112) defines the structure component of an education course, type, and attribute of the education contents which will be registered based on the converting regulation of the detailed structure. The structure table writing unit classifies the structure component into pages and sections, and writes the structure table. A XML converting unit (113) brings the structure table of education contents from the structure table writing unit and produces a new structure component of the XML format matched with the structure component which is written in the structure table.
