APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SCHEDULING USER DEFINED OPERATOR IN DATA STREAM MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A scheduling apparatus of a user defined operator (UDO) in a data stream management system (DSMS) and a method thereof are provided to minimize operation of the user defined operator having the most amount of operation among operators capable of performing double operation. CONSTITUTION: A query optimizing part (110) generates more than one scheduling unit by grouping UDO in a stream unit for more than one query. A scheduling part (120) determines execution sequence of the scheduling unit. The scheduling part determines execution sequence on the basis of prunning power calculated per the scheduling unit. The prunning power is calculated by considering the number of UDOs included in the scheduling unit or a static parameter including the length of a pattern.
