PURPOSE: A DPM polar transmitter based on a polynomial approximation method is provided to obtain signals which have desired error level to by independently estimating amplitude and phase signals. CONSTITUTION: A conversion unit (410) converts an input signal which consists of an in-phase signal and a quadrature signal into a phase signal and an amplitude signal by using a Chebyshev polynomial approximation method. A mapping unit (420) converts the phase signal and the amplitude signal into a binary control bit form by using a mapping process. A wrapping unit applies a DPM (Digital Phase wrapping Modulation) type wrapping process to the converted phase signal. An amplifying unit amplifies the amplitude signal converted into the binary control bit form and the phase signal passed through the wrapping process in the wrapping unit.
