NOVEL MICROALGAE LIMNOTHRIX SP. KNUA012 AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING ALKANE, FATTY ALCOHOL, AND FATTY ACID FROM THE SAME

PURPOSE: A microalgae limnothrix sp KNUA012 strain (KCTC 12064BP) is provided to produce biodiegel directly without a converting process of liquid hydrocarbon by producing alkane group hydrocarbon naturally, and to produce biodiesel by existing method. CONSTITUTION: A limnothrix sp. KNUA012 strain (KCTC 12064BP) is microalgae which produces pentadecane, hexadecenol, and C_14-C_16 fatty acid. A producing method of the pentadecane, hexadecenol, and C_14-C_16 fatty acid comprises the steps of: culturing the limnothrix sp. KNUA012 strain (KCTC 12064BP); and extracting the pentadecane, hexadecenol, and C_14-C_16 fatty acid from the culture medium.
