PURPOSE: An objective image quality testing system of digital image media and a device thereof are provided to test image quality without being affected by existing broadcasts while broadcasting by inserting and transmitting a test signal into the transient effect area (TEA) of a source image and detecting and analyzing a test signal from images received and recovered.;CONSTITUTION: A test signal generating part (202) tests the quality of an image. A signal inserting part (206) inserts the test signal into the predetermined domain of the TEA at each frame of a source image. A time code inserting part (204) adds a time code including the frame identification information to the generated test signal.
