PURPOSE: A system and a method for providing security for UPnP motions in home network environment based on copyrights are provided to perform access control determinations on the basis of control point owners.;CONSTITUTION: A home network system (800) comprises a control device (802) and a control point (806). The control device comprises a device protection module (804) and a device management module (808). The control point invokes UPnP actions related to UPnP resources. The device management module determines whether or not the control point has an ownership to execute the UPnP actions based on ownership data related to the UPnP resources. The device management module grants the authority to execute the UPnP actions on the UPnP resources to the control point.
