PURPOSE: A wireless power transmitting system capable of improving coupling efficiency by controlling a resonant frequency and a wireless power transmitting method are provided to improve the coupling efficiency by controlling each resonant frequency of a source device, a relay device, and a target device.;CONSTITUTION: A source device (210) transmits each controlled resonant frequency information to the corresponding devices. A relay device (220) relays wireless power with a resonant frequency which is controlled by the source device. A target device (230) receives electric energy information and transmits the received electric energy information to the source device. The source device includes a source resonator (216) which transmits the wireless power by a coupling process, a communication unit (218), and a control unit (217).
