PURPOSE: A system and a method for intercepting a missile using high resolution frequency modulated interrupted continuous wave (FMICW) enable a missile to successfully intercept a target by monitoring terminal guidance time in comparison with guidance system time constant and distinguishing a missile warhead within the range of the guidance system time constant calculated.;CONSTITUTION: A system (100) for intercepting a missile using high resolution FMICW comprises a search tracker (110), an induction control part (120), and a wing driving part (130). The search tracker processes the reflective signal of a target searched by FMICW to compute distances, speeds, high angles, azimuths, and errors. The induction control part produces a signal to run a missile to a spot where the missile is predicted to encounter a target by analyzing the distances, speeds, high angles, azimuths, and errors.
