SPECIES-SPECIFIC PRIMER FOR DIAGNOSING SPIDER MITES AND A DIAGNOSTIC METHOD USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A species-specific primer for diagnosing spider mites and a diagnostic method using the same are provided to quickly and accurately identify Amphitetranychus viennensis and Amphitetranychus quercivorus, to efficiently detect pest, and to improve stability of agricultural products.;CONSTITUTION: A primer for diagnosing spider mites contains a primer of sequence numbers 1 and 2 or a primer of sequence numbers 3 and 4. The primer of sequence numbers 1 and 2 is specifically used for diagnosing Amphitetranychus viennensis. The primer of sequence numbers 3 and 4 is specifically used for diagnosing Amphitetranychus quercivorus. A kit for diagnosing spider mites contains the primer. A species-specific diagnostic method comprises the steps of: isolating total RNA or DNA from a plant sample; amplifying a target sequence of the total RNA and DNA using the primer and preparing a PCR product; and detecting the PCR product.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
