CONSTITUTION: A system for selecting electronic document and displaying the electronic document on a transparent display comprises the following steps: distinguishing paper documents containing at least one page; recognizing the pages of a paper document; fitting a rendering layer on the transparent display with a paper page; rendering hypertext document corresponding to the identified page on the layer by a control signal from a user terminal; searching hypertext document and electronic document corresponding to hyperlink item in the hypertext document; and displaying the search results on a display equipped on the user terminal.
