PURPOSE: An automatic wire rod roll changing system capable of calculating the entering angle of a wire rod roll and a changing method thereof are provided to minimize distortion of line patterns by coating a light absorbing agent around the line patterns and irradiating the light absorbing agent with a lighting unit.;CONSTITUTION: An automatic wire rod roll changing system capable of calculating the entering angle of a wire rod roll comprises a shaft(100) which is coupled with a wire rod roll and marked with line patterns on the upper side thereof, a changing tool(200) which can enter an entry axis aligned to an axial direction and has an inner pin capable of entering through the entry axis at a fixed angle to the shaft and one or more robot arms capable of gripping a wire rod roll, a camera module(300) which is installed in the center of the changing tool to photograph the line patterns on the entry axis, and an image processing unit(400) which recognizes the photographed line patterns and calculates the entry angle. The shaft includes a light absorbing agent coated around the line patterns. A lighting unit is installed in the changing tool and provides light beams to the upper side of the shaft.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
