GEOSTATIONARY SATELITE ORBIT DETERMING APPARATUS AND METHOD USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for determining orbits of a geostationary satellite using satellite data smoothing are provided to predict accurate position of a satellite by preventing distortion of satellite observation data due to noises. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus and a method for determining orbits of a geostationary satellite using satellite data smoothing is as follows. First observation data is collected by using tracking data of a satellite collecting at a specific time As applying a dynamics model to the pre-stored position data of the satellite, estimated data estimating the satellite position is created(300). The estimated data is changed to second observation data corresponding to the position variation of the satellite as predetermined time goes by(310). By comparing the first observation data and the second observation data, the first observation data in which the difference with the second observation data is under threshold level is grasped(320). After a satellite orbit is decided through the first observation data under the threshold level, whether the satellite position is maintained or not is determined(330).
