PURPOSE: A pedestrian position information system at GPS non-accepting region and a method of acquiring position information are provided to confirm its own position on map using presumed position information with laptop and display device and share multilateral position information using wireless telecommunication.;CONSTITUTION: A position data acquiring sensor part(110) comprises GPS(Global Positioning System)(111), and an acceleration sensor(112), a gyro sensor(113), a terrestrial magnetism sensor(114), and an altitude sensor(115). A position data acquiring sensor part acquires position information of pedestrian using sensors and outputs the acquired position information to position data estimating unit(120). A position information estimating operation unit comprises a posture estimator(121), a directional angle estimator(122), a height estimator(123), a walk detecting and step estimator(124) and a digital filter. A position data display part(130) indicates position information of pedestrian presumed from a position information estimating operation unit at the map.
