BILLING SYSTEM AND METHOD IN BROADBAND CONVERGENCE NETWORK ACCORDING TO SERVICE SPECIFICATION AND USER CONTRACT CONDITION

An accounting system for considering a user contract condition and service characteristics in a broadband convergence network and a method thereof are provided to apply an allotment cost concept in accordance with network allocation resource ratios by considering each service characteristic, thereby suggesting reasonable charging structures for each service. A baseline cost calculator(100) calculates baseline costs for each service by using overall costs and allocated resources of each service. A charge characteristic constant determiner(200) calculates charge characteristic constants for each service by using a user contract condition and the baseline costs. A charge estimate factor calculator(300) calculates charges per an accounting unit of each service by using the baseline costs and the charge characteristic constants. A subscriber session charge calculator(400) conducts accounting processes for a subscriber session based on the charges per an accounting unit of each service when the subscriber session is initiated.
