PURPOSE: A water repellent treatment method of an automobile interior material is provided to prevent moisture from remaining and to basically block breeding of various bacteria. CONSTITUTION: A water repellent treatment method of an automobile interior material including kenaf comprises: a step of dipping a kenaf filament in a dipping solution containing a water repellent; and a step of drying the kenaf filament. The dipping solution is a fluorine-based emulsion water repellent. The dipping solution contains 95-98 wt% of water and 2-5 wt% of an emulsion water repellent containing 18 wt% of a solid.
