APPARATUS DETECTING ENERGIZED INSULATOR POLYMER FOR DISTRIBUTION LINE

PURPOSE: A defective polymer insulator detection device for distribution lines is provided to prevent line accidents like deterioration, etc. in advance by detecting a defect of polymer insulators and to perform the detection of defective polymer insulators. CONSTITUTION: An auxiliary probe(200) is located in between probes(111), measures the voltage at the middle part of a polymer insulator(A), and delivers the measured voltage to a control part(130). A voltage meter(120), included in a potential difference measuring instrument(110), displays the potential difference generated between the probe and the auxiliary probe. A GPS(Global Positioning System) positioning device(220), included at one side of the potential difference measuring instrument, measures the geographical position where the detection of a defective polymer insulator is operating and delivers the measured position to the control part.
