FREEZING PREVENTION APPARATUS OF EVAPORATOR FOR AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLES AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM

A device for preventing freezing of an evaporator of an air conditioning system for a vehicle is provided to senses freezing temperature of different kinds of evaporators without changing location of a temperature sensor in accordance with the surface of the evaporator having lowest temperature. A device for preventing freezing of an evaporator(10) of an air conditioning system for a vehicle comprises a temperature sensor(20), a memory unit(42), and a control unit. The temperature sensor senses a detecting surface part(A) of the evaporator. The memory unit memorizes temperature of the detecting surface part for freezing temperature of a lowest temperature surface part(B) of the evaporator. The control unit judges the state of the lower temperature surface part as a frozen state when sensed temperature of the detecting surface part is less than memorized set temperature of the memory unit, and turns off a compressing unit(30).
