PURPOSE: An earth leakage breaking device is provided to improve the reliability of the earth leakage breaking device by preventing the malfunction of the earth leakage breaking device caused by a surge voltage.;CONSTITUTION: A prime power blocking unit(10) is connected between prime power lines(L1,L2) and a load(100). An image converter(20) senses a leaked current generated in the prime power lines to output a voltage corresponding to the leaked current to first and second output terminals. A protecting unit(30) limits the size of the leaked current applied by the image converter to a set value.
