RUPTURE DISC ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A CONTROL DISC OF THE RUPTURE DISC ASSEMBLY

PURPOSE: A rupture disc assembly and a method for manufacturing a control disc thereof are provided to remove a knife disc as a knife part is formed in the control disc when the control disc is ruptured. CONSTITUTION: A rupture disc assembly comprises a control disc(100) and a seal disc(200). The control disc comprises a coupling part and a circular dome part(120). A saw tooth-shaped slit having ridges and gullies is formed on the circumference of the circular dome part. The coupling part is coupled to a container, a facility, or a structure. The circular dome part forms the inner side of the coupling part. The seal disc is positioned to close a fluid inlet of the control disc. The seal disc blocks the outflow of the fluid through the slit, and is ruptured when the control disc is ruptured. Shear sections are formed at some of peak points of the ridges or the gullies. The shear sections connect the inner and outer parts of the circular dome part, and are sheared when the pressure of the fluid flows into the container or the facility exceeds a set pressure. The control disc is ruptured when the shear sections are sheared.
