摘要

PURPOSE: A two stage friction damper using a shape memory alloy is provided to obtain vibration proof performance and to offset an elastic effect caused by restoring force. CONSTITUTION: A two stage friction damper using a shape memory alloy comprises a 2-stage friction damper, a cylinder(110), a piston rod(120), a friction member(130), a friction member housing(140), a fixing member(150), a shape memory alloy member(160), and a fixing member housing(170). The cylinder has a predetermined space in inside. The piston rod is moved to a vertical direction in the inside of the cylinder. The friction member generates damping force by being rubbed with the outer circumference of the piston rod. The friction member housing is formed in the cylinder so that the fictional member is received. The shape memory alloy member is respectively connected to both end portions of the friction member along a longitudinal direction of the piston rod in the inside of the friction member housing. The shape memory alloy member is transformed in order to increase strength by heat applied from outside, thereby selectively fixing the friction member. The fixing member housing is arranged adjacent to the friction member housing and formed in the cylinder to be integrated. The fixing member housing has diameter lager than the diameter of the friction member housing.
