PURPOSE: A welding torch automatic distance controlling method for MIG(Metallic Inert Gas arc) welding capable of minimizing an error which occurs as time passes is provided to measure a current value which is applied to a welding tip according changes in the distance between a wire and a base material in real time, and to change the distance between the welding tip and the base material according to a difference which is produced by the comparison of the measured value and a standard value.;CONSTITUTION: A welding torch automatic distance controlling method for MIG(Metallic Inert Gas arc) welding capable of minimizing an error which occurs as time passes is as follows: The current value which is applied to a welding tip according to changes in the distance between a wire and a base material is measured in real time; The distance between the welding tip and the base material is narrowed by the use of an automatic control device when the measured value is lower than a standard value; The distance between the welding tip and the base material increases when the measured value is lower than the standard value; The standard value is designated as an average value which is continuously produced per unit hour, and a newly measured value which is generated during welding work is designated as a standardized value per unit quantity.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013;[Reference numerals] (AA) Start; (BB) Input a standard value; (CC) Measure a current value; (DD) Calculate the average of values measured per unit quantity and designate as a standard value; (EE) Standard value is higher than a measured value when comparing the calculated standard value with the measured value?; (FF) Move a gas nozzle toward a base material; (GG) Equal; (HH) Proceed with welding; (II) Move the gas nozzle away from the base material
