METHOD AND EQUIPMENT FOR AUTOMATIC WELDING OF TUBE AND TUBE SHEET BY INERT GAS ARC WELDING TORCH

PURPOSE: To perform automatic welding of the tube and tube sheet by the inert gas arc welding torch even if a gap between the tube and an adjacent tube is narrow and further, to prevent incomplete penetration which is easily generated on a boundary part between the tube and the weld bead surface. ;CONSTITUTION: The welding equipment 3 is provided with a welding equipment fixing part 4 which is provided on the inside of the tube 1, the peripheral part upper and face of which is brought into contact with the lower end face of the tube 1 and has a function to fix the welding equipment 3 on the tube 1 and a torch driving part 6 which is located at a space part below the tube 1, oscillates the inert gas arc welding torch 5 set up on the peripheral part of the tube 1 and moves it along the peripheral part of the tube 1. A lever 5 which transmits a movement to weave the torch tip is connected to the inert gas arc welding torch 5 and oscillated with a pin 8 provided projectingly on a lower plate 17 as a fulcrum.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
