PURPOSE: An Ishige sinicola-originated compound and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to effectively obtain a compound with biological activities, from Ishige sinicola having antibacterial activities and whitening activities. CONSTITUTION: A compound is represented by chemical formula 1. A manufacturing method of the compound comprises a step of milling Ishige sinicola; a step of adding ethanol or methanol to the Ishige sinicola powder; a step of adding fractionating hexane, chloroform, and ethyl acetate; and a step of applying fractionated ethyl acetate to silica gel chromatography using a methanol solvent and chloroform.
