PURPOSE: A Nickel flange using a free forging and manufacturing method thereof are provided to build a regular structure by cogging and thermal upsetting, and to minimize stress concentration as a bolt connection part of a flange is integrally connected to the pipe unit. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a nickel flange comprises first to ninth steps(S10-S90). A casting rod with a diameter of 12 to 24 inches is prepared at the first step. The casting rod is cut at the second step. The casting rod is heated for thirty minutes at 900 to 950C per inch at the third step. The fourth step is to forge the heated casting rod by an upsetting process. The fifth step is to cog the casting rod. The sixth step is to forge the casting rod after the cogging. The seventh step is to punch the center part of the casting rod to make a hole. The eighth step is to roll the casting rod. The ninth step is to grind the flange of the casting rod to form a shape.
