ALUMINA COATED SPINEL/SILICON CARBIDE REFRACTORY COMPOSITION WITH HIGH CORROSION RESISTIVITY CAPABLE OF PREVENTING CONTAMINATION DUE TO THE VOLATILIZATION OF CHROME BY EXCLUDING THE USE OF CHROMIUM OXIDE AND A MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
PURPOSE: An alumina coated spinel/silicon carbide refractory composition is provided to increase corrosion resistance and penetration resistance against coal slag by adding alpha alumina and gamma alumina in refractory material including silicon carbide and spinel coated with alumina.;CONSTITUTION: A refractory composition comprises 1-15 parts by weight of alpha alumina of fine particles and 1-15 parts by weight of gamma alumina in 100.0 parts by weight of refractory material. The refractory material includes spinel and silicon carbide in which alumina is coated in a weight ratio of 25:75-75:25. The spinel is alumina-rich spinel. A manufacturing method of the refractory composition comprises following steps. 1-15 parts by weight of alpha alumina and 1-15 parts by weight of gamma alumina of fine particles are mixed in 100.0 parts by weight of refractory material which includes spinel and silicon carbide in which alumina is coated in a weight ratio of 25:75-75:25. A molding product is made by adding water in the mixture of the previous step. The molding product is dried. The gamma alumina is converted to alpha alumina by heat-treating the dried molding product.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
