PURPOSE: A configuration control method of a cable in a suspension bridge using sag sensitivity based on numerical analysis is provided to control the configuration of a cable using the length and temperature changes of the cable. CONSTITUTION: A configuration control method of a cable in a suspension bridge using sag sensitivity based on numerical analysis is as follows. A horizontal tension value and a design stress value of a cable are calculated. A control sag value is calculated by determining the variation of sag, and the horizontal tension value of the cable is calculated. A control stress value of the cable is calculated. The variation of the stress values is calculated by calculating the difference between the design and control stress values of the cable. Sag sensitivity according to the stress value variation of the cable is calculated. A sag value of the cable is measured. If the measured sag value is different from a sag design value, a stress value of the cable to be controlled is calculated using the sag sensitivity.
