PURPOSE: A method for providing an item reuse service in an online game and a server thereof are provided to increase the game participation of a user by exchanging items obtained and possessed through the online game to new or higher items.;CONSTITUTION: A game operating server provides a reuse page for reusing items possessed by a user terminal to the user terminal (S11). The server receives input related to the number of the items possessed by the user terminal from the user terminal (S12). The server determines a probability and a range of grades of items to be possessed through the reuse of the items according to the total sum of grades of the inputted items (S13).
