PURPOSE: A method for automatically checking the evacuation regulations of a high-rise building by using building information modeling (BIM) is provided to automatically check the complex evacuation regulations of the high-rise building, thereby reducing time and implementing an exact checking process. CONSTITUTION: A building information module generates a building information file about an object building. A high-rise building confirming module extracts information about the number of floors and building height from the building information file, and confirms whether the object building is the high-rise building or not. A fire compartment analyzing module extracts information about the height of each story and the presence of a sprinkler, the number of floors, the material and area/height of a fire partition, the material and structure of a structure part, and maximum floor area from the building information file. The fire compartment analyzing module confirms whether there is something wrong in the fire compartment (S330). An evacuation safety zone analyzing module extracts information about an evacuation safety zone and the number of floors from the building information file, and confirms whether there is something wrong in the evacuation safety zone.
