PURPOSE: A method for predicting product quality of a coke is provided to approximately predict cold strength and hot strength to a real value. CONSTITUTION: A method for predicting product quality of a coke comprises a step of predicting the product quality of the coke manufactured from a plurality of raw material charcoal using a reflection ratio value and a maceral value. The reflection ratio value is obtained by measuring a light reflected by irradiation of vitrinite contained in the coking coal with light(S10). The maceral value is obtained by virtually splitting the coking coal by plurality of lattices and analyzing the content of maceral in the lattice. The quality of the coke is cold strength value and hot strength value of coke. [Reference numerals] (AA) Start; (BB) End; (S10) Measure the reflectivity of vitrinite contained in a coal analysis specimen and obtain a reflection ratio value; (S20) Count the number of collinite structure components and telinite structure components in the vitrinite structure of the analysis specimen used for measuring reflectivity and converting into percentage; (S30) Derive a coke quality prediction equation by deducting telinite index from collinite index converted into percentage and dividing the result with the measured reflectivity; (S40) Prepare a new coal analysis specimen from newly stored coal, calculate the reflectivity, collinite index, and telinite index of the new coal analysis specimen, apply to the prediction equation, and predict the quality of cokes from the result
