The present invention relates to a method for predicting quality of a sample which comprises the following steps of: controlling a mixture ratio of a sample and anthracite; carbonizing a mixture of the sample and the anthracite to generate a processing object; reducing the processing object through two processes; and measuring mass values of powders, which are reduced through the two processes and generated, respectively and calculating a coking index by using the measured mass values. Therefore, the method can calculate hot strength of a material having an excellent coking feature and accurately predict hot strength of coke including the same.
