PURPOSE: A rainwater intake and soil separation device is provided to effectively prevent soil from flowing into a storm overflow chamber using a simple structure and to allow rainwater to smoothly flow. CONSTITUTION: A rainwater intake and soil separation device (100) comprises a soil intake preventive part (120) and a soil sedimentation part (140). The soil intake preventive part includes a preventive plate (122). The preventive plate is sloped towards the intake direction of rainwater and soil. The preventive plate guides rainwater and soil to the soil sedimentation part by preventing the rainwater and soil from directly flowing into a storm overflow chamber (170). The soil sedimentation part includes a slope (142) and a shield (144). The slope is arranged in the opposite side of the preventive plate and selectively deposits soil among rainwater and soil. The shield allows rainwater to smoothly flow into the storm overflow chamber by switching the flow direction of the rainwater.
