PURPOSE: A content management apparatus and a content providing method using the same are provided to distinguish a background color of a display area by detecting movement of a web browser screen, thereby increasing advertising effects.;CONSTITUTION: A designating unit (122) designates a display area for providing a content. The designating unit designates a background color of the display area. A detecting unit (123) detects whether a designated screen is positioned in the display area and detects the background color of the display area. A control unit (125) determines whether to provide an advertising content in the display area by analyzing whether the background color is a designated background color. The designated screen includes a web browser screen, or a designated display area includes one area of a background screen.
