PURPOSE: A near field communications (NFC) mode changing method is provided to immediately change a mode without an initialization process for setting a new mode in case an action is completed through a specific mode between NFC terminals. CONSTITUTION: An A terminal (100) inserts mode changing information into a channel release message (S106). The A terminal transmits the channel release message into a B terminal (200) (S107). The B terminal transmits a response about the channel release message to the A terminal (S109). Channel release is performed between the A terminal and the B terminal. Each mode of the A and B terminals is changed for a next communications action using the mode changing information (S110,S111).
