METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RECOMMENDING MUSIC ON BASED AUTOMATIC ANALYSIS BY USER'S PURPOSE

A method and a device for recommending music based on an automatic user purpose analysis are provided to automatically recommend the music suitable for a situation by analyzing a query inputted from a user, and recommend a music file list. A database(110) stores the music files. A music file classifier(120) classifies the music files into the music styles. An input part(130) receives the query from the user. A query analyzer(140) analyzes the received query. A music style determiner(150) determines the music style of the recommended music file based on a query analysis result. A music file list providing part(160) provides the recommended music file list corresponding to the query analysis result. The music file classifier includes a music file analyzer analyzing mood, genre, and tempo of the music file, and a music style classifier classifying the music file according to the analysis result of the music file analyzer. The query analyzer analyzes meaning of the inputted query and extracts a categorized keyword related to the music style from the analyzed meaning.
