PURPOSE: A high-efficiency biogas generation system for excess sludge treatment in a membrane bio-reactor and a method thereof are provided to increase the density of solids to 6.5 to 8.0% without applying coagulant and to enhance the volume decrease of an anaerobic digester and the increase of generated methane. CONSTITUTION: A high-efficiency biogas generation system for excess sludge treatment in a membrane bio-reactor comprises the steps of: decomposing organic matters into biochemically active microorganisms after the solid-liquid separation of waste water in a membrane bio-reactor; concentrating excess sludge generated in the membrane bio-reactor by a centrifugal concentrator; solubilizing the whole or part of the excess sludge generated in the centrifugal concentrator by a solubilizing unit; and generating methane gas from the solubilized solids in an anaerobic digester.
