PURPOSE: A method for improving the precision of a time measuring operation and a position tracking apparatus using the same are provided to improve the accuracy of a code tracking operation by calculating the arrival time of a wireless communication signal based on the history of the code tracking operation. A sampling position adjusting part(54) adjusts a sampling position according to an output signal with respect to the time error of the correlator.
