PURPOSE: A separation method of materials in which the affinity about a moving bed among ternary compounds is medium is provided to separate materials with a medium affinity about the moving bed using fewer columns than columns used in conventional simulated moving bed chromatography. CONSTITUTION: A separation method of materials in which the affinity about a moving bed among ternary compounds is medium comprises steps of: a step of ejecting two kinds of materials having a strong affinity about the moving bed among ternary compounds through a bypass outlet port after injecting ternary compounds through an inflow hole for raw materials of center-simulated moving bed chromatography; and a step of injecting the two kinds of materials through the bypass inlet port of the center-simulated moving bed chromatography. The center-cut simulated moving bed chromatography is formed by combining a first simulated moving bed chromatography part with a second simulated moving bed chromatography part. The operating point between the first simulated moving bed chromatography part and the second simulated moving bed chromatography part is calculated using the triangle theory defined by the equation 1. The operating point is applied to the center-cut simulated moving bed chromatography.
