FIELD: radio engineering, communication.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering and is intended for locating a railway vehicle (V) along a railway track (VF) through a series of signal beacons which interact with an antenna installed on the railway vehicle. The antenna is configured to capture an electromagnetic signal which characterises information transmitted by a beacon when said railway vehicle passes nearby, and has a first receiving circuit in the form of a simple loop and a second receiving circuit in the form of a loop with two figure eight-shaped coils. The antenna additionally includes a third receiving circuit in the form of a loop with three coils, wherein the centre coil is located between two outermost coils, wherein the first, second and third receiving circuits are located one over the other, wherein all three receiving circuits have substantially the same longitudinal axis of symmetry (X) and substantially the same transverse axis of symmetry (Y).;EFFECT: high accuracy of locating a railway vehicle.;19 cl, 6 dwg
