A liquid crystal display comprising: a display section; signal scan lines in a display section and data signal lines; wherein, the signal scan lines are divided into groups, each of which includes two or more signal scan lines; wherein the liquid crystal display is configured to: selection of groups so that in two or more signal lines of the sweep included in the selected one group of these groups, a horizontal sweep is carried out sequentially, and each of signal data lines were sequentially powered by signal electric potentials of the same polarity; inverting the same polarity of signal electric potentials between successively selected groups; entering a blank period between the horizontal period corresponding to the last horizontal scan in the earlier of the sequentially selected groups and another horizontal period corresponding to first horizontal scan in the later of the last atelno selected groups; and performing a blank scan during the blank scan period with respect to at least one of the scan signal lines included in the group to be selected after the earlier of the sequentially selected groups to remain in an excited state for a predetermined period and then turn off. 2. The liquid crystal display according to claim 1, characterized in that it is configured to supply, during each idle period, each of the signal lines
