FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical industry, particularly to methods of producing fine powder based on zirconium oxide, which can be used in making dense wear-resistant ceramics, implantology materials and solid electrolytes. Disclosed is a method of producing nanodispersed zirconium oxide powder which is stabilised with yttrium oxide and/or scandium oxide, which involves preparing a starting mixture of nitrates of corresponding metals and glycine, heating the mixture to temperature of 160-250°C and maintaining said temperature, followed by annealing. A carboxylic acid and/or ammonium salts of a carboxylic acid or aminoacetic acid is then added to the starting mixture in amount of 5-20 wt % of the content of glycine. Annealing is carried out at temperature of 550-570°C. The method is highly ecofriendly since it avoids the need to discharge waste water in the process cycle.;EFFECT: obtaining sinter-active nanopowder which can be used to make high-density ceramics.;5 ex
