The method involves forming a silicon based part (3) with a circular aperture. A radially flared portion (7) of a metal/metal alloy based unit (15) is inserted into the aperture, without stress. The flared portion is elastically and plastically deformed by moving tools (13, 21) toward each other in axial direction (A), respectively on top and bottom parts of the portion so as to exert radial stress (B) against a wall surrounding the aperture, causing elastic deformation of the part, to secure a silicon based part and metal/metal alloy based unit assembly in a non-destructive manner.
