The invention relates to shipbuilding, particularly to river crossings. The achieved result - increased reliability and manufacturability, increased efficiency in operation, using only energy for movement of the river flow. The result is achieved in that in the river ferry comprising housing floats from the carrier plane and fixed to a support on one of the banks rope, according to the decision the cable connected to the ferry through rope loop passing through the fixed unit and controls multiturn gates installed on a cable ferry at this tether loop is formed in a triangle shape with the possibility of changing the length of two of its sides collar formed multiturn.
