FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely traumatology and vertebrology, and can find application in treating vertebral body splintered fractures accompanied by posttraumatic spinal stenosis. Substance of the method consists in assessing the spinal canal state. The spinal canal state is assessed with the use of a graduated probe. A spinal canal depth is measured before and after spinal reduction through a formed laminectomic hole created at a level of posttraumatic spinal stenosis. A measurement difference is used to evaluate a decreasing degree of vertebrodural conflict.;EFFECT: use of the given invention enables the intraoperative reliable evaluation of a decreasing degree of posttraumatic spinal stenosis that in turn improves quality of closed reduction in treating vertebral body splintered fractures.;1 dwg, 1 ex
