The device has brake arms (20, 20') for assembly at fork arms (11) of a bicycle fork (1). The brake arms are connected with each other in an operative manner. A cover (3) is detachably arranged at the bicycle fork in ends of the brake arms, where the ends are provided with a hook-shaped gripper (23) and a hollow cylinder (24) of the fork arms. The brake arms are pivotably arranged relative to the cover. The cover covers the gripper and the cylinder against a front side of the bicycle fork. The cover is fastened at pins (26) of the fork arms in a form-fit manner. An independent claim is also included for a bicycle fork.
