The tool carrier (1) has housing (3) whose central axis (5) is connected to a drive portion, and is connected with collet chuck sleeve (15). The projecting head (21) is arranged on the housing. The adjustment and tensioning device (19) is provided with chuck sleeve. The chuck sleeve is provided with lateral bends (41) on tool end. The clamping jaws (33) located on the inner contact cone (39) are tapered conically towards the tool end of the chuck sleeve. An outer cone system (37) is provided corresponding to an inner contact cone of the chuck sleeve. An independent claim is included for method for enabling quick clamping of tool carrier.
